In this lesson on John 1:4–5 and 9–18, Stephen Davey explains that Jesus Christ is the divine light who entered a spiritually dark world to reveal God and provide salvation. While many failed to recognize or outright rejected Him, those who receive and believe in Him are given the right to become children of God. Davey emphasizes that Jesus is fully God and fully man—the eternal Son who willingly left the glory of heaven to dwell among sinful humanity so He could reveal the Father, provide grace and truth, and ultimately rescue sinners from coming judgment. Through Christ, God has made Himself known, offering eternal life and inviting people into His family through faith in Jesus alone.
